medieval blog post #4

I went to the tornament today everyone was there even the king and queen took time from there busy day to come and watch the two men in armor fight each other on horse back. The midday sun beamed down on the eager crowd me and my friend Eilyk were at the front of the crowd with watchfull eyes. The tornament wasn't far from the castle and rumor was that two men were my friend the joker and the kings head knight all I heard was that the kings servant bet that the head knight was the best fighter in new south whales and the joker bet that any peasant could beat the head knight and the kings servant said i bet you couldnt. So the joker challenged the head knight to a tornament and so everyone was invited to see if the joker could beat the so called best fighter in new south whales. The crowd cheered as the king yelled for the tornament to began. I notised my friend on the right with a jokers hat for his simble painted on his armor. I watched as both made an effort to knock the other off his horse. Personally I was scarred that one of the two would be killed during the tornament I wasn't sure if people could read the horror on my face so I tryed to calm myself. But I could see that others were scarred to but some like Eilyk thrust their fists in the air and rooted for the person they wanted to win. When it looked like it was almost over when the head knight was about to swing his sword decapatating Frank Joker instintly I shut my eyes the crowd was silent for a moment til I heard them gasp I peered through my fingers expecting to see my friends head rolling across the ground but to my suprise I found that frank had knocked the head knights sword from his grip and now was preparing to thrust the sword through his apponents heart the head knight yelled forfit holding his hands infront of him as if they would act as a sheild. The crowd stared bewildered at the head knight cowering before the joker who thrust his free fist into the air as the crowd cheered for him.
THE END
